Your Responsibilities as a Construction Services / Water Resources Intern:

  • Work in the field on active (and inactive) construction sites, and urban landscapes.
  • Sediment and erosion control site maintenance and inspections.
  • Post-construction restoration, remediation, etc.
  • Permanent water quality facility maintenance and inspections.
  • Complete written field reports.
  • Take direction from supervisor to perform various field duties.
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds.
  • Strong verbal communication. Customer service experience a plus.
  • Observe safe work practices.
  • Develop local, State, and Federal regulatory knowledge.
  • Actively develop your own career growth.

What we're looking for:

  • 0-2 years of experience (construction, landscaping/hardscaping, irrigation, etc. a plus).
  • Basic environmental science and regulatory knowledge.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Awareness of safety standards and practices.
  • Good record keeping.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
