Project Management Summer Student:

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Management Summer Student Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, gain practical experience, and contribute to meaningful projects within our organization.

As a Project Management Co-Op Student, you’ll work closely with our Project Management, Engineering, Business Development, and Procurement Teams assisting with administrative tasks, document control, and data tracking to ensure the smooth execution of projects. You’ll attend meetings, take minutes, and help drive project success through organization and attention to detail. Throughout this experience, you will also have opportunities to suggest and improve process and system workflows as you work through tasks between each Functional Group. This is an opportunity to develop your analytical and problem-solving skills while gaining valuable insight into the electrical power industry.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Project Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior internship experience or relevant extracurricular activities is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Management, Engineering, Business Development, and Procurement teams with assigned activities, as these departments are an integral part of the Project Management workflow. 
  • Review and Audit Daily Field Reports and ensure the data correlates to the contract terms for billing.
  • Review Vendor data and ensure the supporting backup aligned with the charges being incurred. 
  • Maintain and Update Project Tracking Logs (CRM, Change Orders, RFI etc).
  • Work through and review the project lifecycle (initiation to closeout) and assist with status updates to the Partners.   
  • Attend meetings, record minutes, and distribute as needed.
  • Data entry for needed for tracking progress on program delivery.
