About The Company
Hummingbird ABA Therapy offers behavioral consultations, assessments, and trainings, as well as ABA therapy that incorporates the methods of Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT). Overseen by a Board-certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Specialist, Hummingbird ABA staff advocate and support autistic and neurodiverse individuals of all ages. Hummingbird ABA Therapy is a licensed IBHS agency in the state of PA, and takes most major insurances. Services are offered in clients’ homes, schools, or at our new ABA center
About the Role

Description

SUMMARY

As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Intern with Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will provide 1:1 behavioral interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying diagnosis. The internship position is designed for a student enrolled in undergraduate or graduate coursework who requires a full time internship for their program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides face-to-face behavioral interventions. Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) while working 1:1 with clients
  • Delivers and models treatment interventions.
  • Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.
  • Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all clients and families.
  • Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.
  • Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines and state regulatory standards.
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with little notice dependent on client needs.

  • BHT Interns will be expected to work in a variety of settings with clients, including clinic, schools, homes, or community settings.

TRAVEL

  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time with clients being no more than 30 minutes from staff’s home or Hummingbird ABA Therapy's Center, unless specifically agreed upon. BHT Intern is required to have their own reliable transportation to/from clients within Centre County.

Requirements

Behavioral Health Technician Interns shall meet both of the following prior to starting the position:

  • Have at least a high school diploma and currently enrolled in educational program
  • Must have PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
