About the Role

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.

In this internship role, you will gain hands-on experience in the chemical engineering field, contributing to projects that drive efficiencies in our recycling and extraction processes. The intern will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers and researchers to conduct experiments, analyze data, and support operational initiatives within our facility. Ideal candidates should be eager to learn, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for sustainability in the energy sector. This role will provide valuable exposure to real-world applications of chemical engineering principles and processes.

  • Pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Basic understanding of chemical processes and engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
