About the Role

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.

As a Software Engineering Intern at ABTC, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will assist in developing software solutions to enhance our lithium-ion battery recycling processes and data management systems. Interns will work closely with our engineering and software development teams to design, implement, and test software applications that drive efficiency and innovation within our operations. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in software development while contributing to the sustainable future of energy storage.

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of database systems and data management practices (SQL preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for sustainable technology and the energy sector, with an eagerness to apply skills in real-world applications.
