About the Role

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) provides technical development and commercialization of domestic, sustainable sourcing of critical battery materials through lithium-ion battery recycling and battery metal extraction technologies for use in batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, and consumer electronics and tools. Our first of kind systems produce commercial-scale battery materials that are sold into the battery manufacturing supply chain.


As a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of maintenance practices within our manufacturing operations. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on projects that enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and overall product quality. You will work alongside experienced professionals, analyzing maintenance data, assisting in the development of maintenance strategies, and contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives.

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous internship, project experience, or coursework related to maintenance management or engineering.
  • Familiarity with TPM concepts and practices is a plus.

Physical Demands: Required to stand for long periods, perform physical tasks, walk throughout the plant, and occasionally lift items up to 25 lbs. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and protective shoes.
