About the Role

This summer co‑op role is part of the technical services team, which completes feasibility and conceptual engineering studies, supports operations on maintenance and repair projects, and maintains Aquatera’s engineering systems and standards. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a variety of tasks, including drawing markups and updates, site verifications and inspections, 3D facility scanning, document control, and engineering calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada without limitations.
  • Assist with capital project delivery and coordination, including drawing reviews and markups, site investigations, engineering calculations, scheduling, and construction inspections alongside the engineering and inspection team.
  • Conduct engineering site inspections for capital projects, studies, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Support procedure and standards updates, including updating standard drawings, supporting general installation guidelines with engineering calculations, managing the drawing database, and contributing to asset design guides.
  • Contribute to document control, 3D facility scanning, and other technical services tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited post‑secondary institution.
  • Safety‑first mindset; previous experience in an industrial or operating facility is an asset.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or other 2D/3D design tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; Microsoft Project experience is an asset.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Conditions of Employment

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract.
  • Pass comprehensive drug and alcohol test.
