About the Role

BASIC FUNCTION:

Provide support to the Director, Assistant Director, and other Department staff of the Film Tax Credit team based in NYC who oversee six entertainment tax incentive programs.  Namely: Film/TV Production; Post-production, Commercial Production, NYC Musical & Theatrical, Upstate Musical & Theatrical, and Digital Gaming.   Work performed will include preparation of reports on program statistics and metrics required by statute, assistance in the review of incoming applications for all programs, as well as other ad hoc projects.  

The Film Tax Credit team is part of the Tax Incentives staff that administers New York State’s tax incentive programs and introductions to colleagues in ESD’s Albany office can be made for educational purposes.


WORK PERFORMED:

  • Assist with initial application process: data control, organizing and tracking documents, document prep for initial meetings with applicants, background research, etc.
  • Assist with Final Application Process: data control, ensure final application submission materials are complete.
  • Assist with preparation of comprehensive program reports, data analysis, charts, etc. as required for quarterly, annual, and biannual reports.
  • Assist with providing program support/information to applicants via email and/or phone.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education level required: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. 

 

Progress toward a degree in public service or business-related field.

 

Knowledge Required

            - MS office suite (including Access)

            - MS Dynamics (preferred)

 


 

HIRING SALARY:  $17.00/Hr.
