About the Role

BASIC FUNCTION:

ESD administers new and existing programs for new businesses, small businesses, and minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs) and service-disabled veteran owned businesses (SDVOBs). The intern will assist in the procurement of goods and services, reporting MWBE/SDVOB participation, and auditing contractual payments and loan/grant-related disbursements.

 

WORK PERFORMED:

  • Assist with research, analysis, and draft reports upon the request of the executive leadership team.
  • Synchronize and integrate payments in the ESD contract system to the ESD payment system in PeopleSoft.
  • Help to maintain project tracking database.

 

Learning Objectives/Skills to be developed: Communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, project management, professionalism, writing and research, and data entry.

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education level required: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree, all majors are welcome. 

 

Knowledge Required: Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 


APPROXIMATE HIRING SALARY:  $17.00/Hr.
