Our Corporate Affairs  Graduate Program is open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Sydney), commencing on 8 February 2027. This is an 18-month full-time program offering multiple rotations and exposure across your chosen field.

What You’ll Do 

 

As a Corporate Affairs Graduate, you’ll gain broad, hands-on experience across our People, Culture & Reputation (PP&R) division, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to meaningful, real world initiatives across Corporate Affairs, Government Relations and Sustainability. 

You will;  

  • Contribute to multi brand content strategy development and execution, and develop written materials to support corporate communications and sustainability team initiatives across internal and external channels 

  • Amplify our advocacy campaigns across owned platforms and channels to key stakeholder audiences 

  • Work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including media, helping deliver multi brand content programs across Corporate Affairs 

  • Develop and apply an understanding of public policy, political and regulatory landscapes and global issues and their implications on business and Government Relations priorities 

  • Support initiatives focused on climate and disaster resilience, including IAG’s transition activities across products, operations, partners and suppliers, helping protect customers and communities  

 

What You'll Bring 

 

You’ll be an enthusiastic, curious and collaborative team member who is keen to learn and build a career in Corporate Affairs. 

You’ll also have: A university degree or higher (graduated in 2024-2025) or be in your penultimate year of university with graduation expected by the end of 2026– ideally from Communications, Media, Sustainability, Journalism, Public Relations or related disciplines  

  • A credit average achievement (65%+), and     

  • Australian and/or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent residency (full working rights)  

  • A driven, enthusiastic, team-focused mindset.  

  • Strong written communication skills and an interest in storytelling, reputation and stakeholder engagement 

  • Ability to work at least 2 days per week in the Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) office in line with our hybrid working approach
