About the Role
We offer a limited number of Slingernships per year. Our Slingternships are designed to give people the opportunity to gain real industry experience. It’s our way of supporting the next generation who are interested in exploring a possible future career in public relations and communications. The goal of the program is to ensure learning. This includes giving our work placement students exposure to life in an agency and also the type of work that we do for clients on a day-to-day basis. Work placement students are partnered with a member of the Sling & Stone team for the duration of their time with us, and they will be their mentor — guiding them and answering any questions they might have. Some of the things that a work placement student can be involved with during their work experience includes activities such as:
  • Supporting with research tasks
  • Having a go at writing different media materials
  • Learning how we create social and content campaigns for clients
  • Sitting on team meetings and client calls to see how these are run
  • Participate in team brainstorms
  • Participation in training for staff
  • And more!
