What key responsibilities would you assume in this role?

  • Participate in the design, build, and sampling of new injection molds and manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DOEs) on new processes and emerging technologies.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data related to new process and technology implementations, including recommendations.
  • Support new product project management activities, including tool design meetings, mold trials, and schedule tracking.
  • Assist with Gantt chart development, project documentation, and customer/vendor communications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects by analyzing manufacturing processes and supporting efficiency improvements.
  • Coordinate with customers and vendors on product specifications to support customer satisfaction.

Requirements

What is needed to thrive in this role?

  • Active enrollment and good academic standing in a BS Engineering program, such as Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, Polymers, Plastics Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (minimum sophomore-level coursework completed).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project preferred).
  • CAD literacy (AutoCAD, Unigraphics, Pro/Engineer, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings, prints, and basic dimensioning layouts preferred.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
