The Ford Field & River Club is a private sporting club available for members and their guests nestled along the quiet waterways of the Ogeechee River right outside of Savannah, Georgia. The property includes a Pete Dye golf course, equestrian center, state of the art fitness center, spa and several food venues.

Job Description:
The Ford Field & River Club is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications and Events Intern to support the communications and special events teams. This position will assist with copywriting, member-facing website updates, social media content ideation, supporting event photography needs, as well as planning, coordinating, and executing club events, including vendor communication, event setup and breakdown, guest assistance, and preparing event documents such as BEOs, checklists, seating charts, and guest lists. The role also supports creating the club’s bimonthly newsletter, updating the member calendar and ensuring all content aligns with the club’s brand and values.
Responsibilities:
Member Portal: Work closely to support the Communications Manager with the updates of the club calendar and portal. Assist with formatting and creative ideas on how to communicate events to members, announcements and other relevant information.
Social Media Content Ideation: Brainstorm engaging content ideas, including videos, reels, stories, and photos for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and working to enhance our presence on all platforms. Work alongside external agency to see content from ideation to execution.
Photography and Videography: Support Communications Manager in capturing and editing photos and videos of employees and events for use in digital communications.
Miscellaneous: Maintain and update the club’s digital calendar, ensuring timely and accurate event listings.
Event Planning & Coordination: Assist with planning and coordinating club events, including logistics, timelines, and vendor communication. Support event setup, onsite execution, guest assistance, and post-event breakdown.
Event Documentation: Prepare event documents such as BEOs, checklists, seating charts, and guest lists.
Culinary Collaboration: Work with the culinary team to support menu planning and accommodate dietary needs for events.
QualificationsEducational Requirements
Candidates must be currently enrolled in marketing, public relations, hospitality management or related programs.
Recent graduates or upcoming graduates are welcome to apply.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and basic video editing tools.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail and deadlines.
Opportunities for three- or six-month internship.
Position Date available: May 4
Preferred Skills
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software.
Familiarity with Canva
Photography and videography skills; editing experience a plus
Experience in hospitality, luxury clubs or private community settings.
Creative mindset with the ability to craft engaging and brand-consistent content.
Interest or experience in event planning, including coordinating logistics, vendor communication, and on-site event execution.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, checklists, seating charts, and other event documentation.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including culinary, operations, and external vendors.
