About the Role

As a Program Management Office (PMO) Intern, you will work directly with technical project managers and cross-functional teams to support the planning, coordination, and execution of critical projects that advance LTA’s mission to revitalize and revolutionize next-generation rigid airships. The preferred candidate is an organized, proactive student who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong ownership over assigned workstreams, and enjoys collaborating across engineering, operations, and leadership teams.


This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world program execution in a fast-paced research and development setting. In addition to strong organizational and communication skills, we are looking for positivity in challenging circumstances, curiosity, adaptability, and a supportive determination toward LTA Vision and Guiding Principles.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and execution of program plans, schedules, and deliverables across multiple technical and operational workstreams.
  • Assist in tracking project progress, milestones, risks, and action items to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes, and drive follow-up on key decisions and next steps.
  • Help maintain program documentation including project dashboards, reports, requirements, and process workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to ensure clear communication and integration across departments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and supporting implementation of scalable PMO processes and tools.
  • Communicate program status and insights to diverse audiences through written updates, presentations, and collaborative messaging platforms.
  • Provide general support to project managers in day-to-day execution activities in a rapidly changing R&D environment.


Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools (Project, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Docs).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid approaches).
  • Experience using project tracking or collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, Confluence, Asana, or similar.
  • Interest in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale engineering development programs.
  • Ability to analyze schedules, budgets, or resource plans and communicate findings effectively.
  • Prior internship or academic experience in program coordination, operations, or technical project work.
