About the Role

Description

We are seeking an Engineering Intern to become a part of our exciting team! The applicant must be able to work 20+ hrs per week. We are looking for an individual that would like to grow. You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operation efficiency.


 The purpose of the internship is to provide the student with supervised practice at the work site or in the office in the continuing daily operations of engineering and manufacturing. Engineering Interns will provide support to the Engineer through assisting in coordination and distribution of information required to complete projects on time, within budget and to quality standard. The intern reports to the Project Manager or Engineer. 


Responsibilities:

  • Create and enter new Part Numbers into our ERP System
  • Generate CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks as required
  • Perform mechanical engineering duties (3D Layout, Light Fabrication and Assembly, testing and production support) as assigned
  • Assist in component fabrication and testing
  • Work with Mechanical engineers to support any design activities
  • Handle part design independently to completion
  • Work with Tooling vendors to complete Design For Manufacturing
  • Write test protocols and perform the product testing as required
  • Responsible to run analytical tools based on requirement
  • Work productively both individually or as part of a team

Requirements

 ?Qualifications:

  • Completed Sophomore year in ABET accredited in mechanical engineering or other related fields
  • Quick thinker

  • Experience using SolidWorks
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
