About the Role

Pork Partners, Ohio’s largest pork producer, is currently seeking highly motivated, college students who have a passion for agriculture and a desire to work in the pork industry! We are offering a 12-week paid internship for students to who are interested in working directly with our swine production, veterinarian and nutrition teams. 

About the Internship:  

  • You learn and master skills needed to perform at a high level
  • You conduct research trials related to medical care, nutrition and/or production techniques
  • You gain advanced training in both farrowing and gestation departments
  • You see first-hand how a large-scale sow farm is managed 
  • You get access to our training and development programs
  • You will be assigned a mentor to assist you during the entire internship
  • You assist Team Members at all levels with day-to-day operations

Who You Are:  

  • Must have a High school diploma/GED. Enrollment in an undergraduate program studying Animal Science, Animal Production or any other Agricultural degree preferred
  • Committed to ensuring the best practices of animal care are performed daily
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds consecutively 
  • Have a passion for agriculture and swine production
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage time and projects
  • Farm experience preferred, but not required
