About the Role

Feel Good About Doing Good

The Knights of Columbus is a tax-exempt Catholic fraternal benefit society that provides financial security to members and their families through our life insurance, long-term care insurance, disability income insurance, investment and annuity products. Charity is at the core of our missions: our profits are donated to help those in need and to support our faith - $1.73B over the past ten years.

While we have many employees who are not Catholic, we follow the Church’s teachings in our investment strategies and our employee benefits. As part of our religious mission, we support the pro-life cause by contributing to the March for Life and pregnancy resource centers, we oppose assisted suicide and euthanasia, we are evangelists for the Catholic faith, and we help Christians who are facing religious persecution in the Middle East.  We all work together to support our two million members as they volunteer to help others in their parishes and communities around the world.

Overview

The Knights of Columbus (KofC) is one of the world’s premier Catholic lay organizations, with over two million members throughout the globe. Our organization is dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism, and supports families, parishes, and communities through charitable works and a highly rated insurance program offering life, annuities, long-term care, and disability. In keeping with our founder Father Michael McGivney’s vision to safeguard families’ finances, we provide opportunities for members and other clients to align financial decisions with Catholic values. Our financial strength is measured by AA+ rating by Standard & Poor’s; A+ Superior rating from AM Best for 40 consecutive years; more than $123 billion of life insurance in force; and $31.1 billion of total assets under management. Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors, a wholly owned subsidiary of Knights of Columbus with $28 billion of assets under management, provides Catholic-compliant investment strategies for both institutional and individual investors. When members purchase insurance policies, surpluses from our business operations support works of charity. When clients do business with Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors, it is with the assurance that their funds are invested according to Catholic guidelines. And when donors give to the United in Charity Annual Appeal or open an account with Knights of Columbus Charitable Fund, it is with the gratification that they’re continuing Father McGivney’s legacy of generosity toward the most vulnerable.

The Knights of Columbus Internship program is focused on providing students hands-on experience. The 10-week internship will run from June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026 offering a meaningful paid summer experience working on real business projects that help meet our company's needs and promote both personal and professional development for the intern.
