Summary

  

This position is part of the Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from, Wednesday, May 27th through Friday, July 31st, potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience.


The Marketing Intern in the Mortgage Department is responsible for assisting the marketing team in developing content and understanding data. 


Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute social media and digital marketing campaigns aimed at promoting mortgage products, increasing brand awareness, increase social media following/audience, and generate business leads.
  • Content Creation- Develop engaging and informative content for various social media platforms, including graphics, videos, and blog posts that highlight mortgage products, services, our team members, and our department’s community involvement.
  • Social Media Management- Assist in managing the mortgage department’s social media accounts by monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages to foster community interaction.
  • Market Research- Conduct research on current market trends and competitor activity in respect to social media activities and audience preferences to inform social media strategies and ensure content is relevant and appealing to target audience. 
  • Performance Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of social media campaigns using analytic tools, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements based on engagement metrics and audience feedback. 


Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • College undergraduate student studying Marketing or Communication with a special interest in content strategy and brand management.
  • Willingness to learn and gain a general understanding of the mortgage industry and the various products and services we offer.
  • Commitment to understand and uphold compliance regulations required by Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company and all financial institutions to provide fairness and protection to all consumers. 
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
