About the Role

Summary


This position is part of the Summer Internship Program, which is scheduled to run from, Wednesday, May 27th through Friday, July 31st, potentially extending through mid-August based on the decision of the hiring manager and department. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the program to ensure a consistent and meaningful learning experience.


The Trust & Wealth Management intern will participate in wealth management operations and various department initiatives. The intern is responsible for contributing to a variety of initiatives and projects while gaining robust knowledge on the subjects covered. Responsibilities are listed below.


Responsibilities

  

  • Research of all allowable fixed income securities for the bank’s investment portfolio. 
  • Pre-purchase research and documentation of such.
  • Ongoing research and documentation of such.
  • Prepare monthly Investment Committee bond account reports, economic research, and minutes for Board of Directors presentation.
  • Review and monitor the bank’s bond account reports.
  • Assist with strategic investment planning for the bank’s portfolio.
  • Interface with other professionals internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


Required Skills/Experience/Education

  • Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
  • Business Majors preferred.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.


Essential Mental & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions. 
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required.
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 15 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division any “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
