Position Overview:

This position is for a detail-oriented Business Analyst with effective multi-tasking and communication skills.  As a liaison across business users and technical resources, this role will be expected to respond to business partner inquiries, perform analysis for developing new solutions while also enhancing and providing support for new and existing applications.  The Business Analyst role will work with more senior Business Analysts in IT delivery teams primarily supporting Acadian’s Investment Operations Groups.  Primary focus is helping users understand our Positions and Transactions datasets, responding to questions about the data, and laying the foundation for management reporting dashboards. 

 

This is an excellent opportunity to expand functional knowledge of the business domain while helping the team deliver new capabilities to the firm.  The Business Analyst CO-OP reports to a Business Architect and is a member of the Information Technology team.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to handle multiple projects at once and be comfortable working across teams.

 

We are looking to hire a Co-Op for a 6 month opportunity, July – December 2026 only. Acadian supports a hybrid work environment; Co-Ops are on-site in the Boston office 3-4 days a week.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform business and systems analysis and work with business stakeholders to understand their objectives​
  • Conduct data analysis, such as data mapping and data conversion analysis  ​
  • Perform story creation and develop acceptance criteria as an agile team member assigned to projects that directly impact your business partners ​
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing as well as Post Implementation Validations to ensure successful releases of your Team’s projects​
  • Support the daily operations of our customers and help to research and triage reported issues ​
  • Document incident findings to help build our data quality knowledgebase​

We’re Looking for Teammates With:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree
  • Working knowledge of business domain concepts in Investment Operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills ​
  • Self-motivated, eagerness to take on projects
  • Ability to gather business requirements and system functional requirements; develop systems specifications​
  • Ability to work with technical resources and communicate business requirements​
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects​
  • Experience with or willingness to learn SQL, or other data visualization tools such as Tableau

 

The pay range for this role is $30.00 - $45.00 per hour based on your degree level and class year.
