About The Role & Team

Our Product Marketing team is a lean group of "humble, hungry learners" tasked with bringing Amplitude’s AI-powered innovations to market. As we rapidly expand our product suite, we are looking for a proactive intern to help us scale our impact without losing our agility.

Your central project is building Amplitude AI Labs: a new program that gives customers early, structured access to our most innovative AI capabilities, and gives our go-to-market teams a repeatable system for enabling and narrating those capabilities on an ongoing basis. You’ll work directly with Product and Engineering to define both the in-product experience and the external story—and you’ll be embedded with our EPD team in-office to make that partnership real.

As a Product Marketing Summer Intern, you will:

  • Stand up Amplitude's AI Labs program from scratch, defining the customer enrollment experience and in-product discovery in partnership with Product and Engineering.
  • Build and maintain a living AI Capabilities Catalog — the definitive positioning and narrative layer for Amplitude's AI features across Labs and GA.
  • Design and launch an evergreen field enablement system that keeps sales and CS current on Amplitude's AI story without relying on discrete launch events.
  • Own a monthly AI release narrative, synthesizing what's shipped into a coherent external story and establishing the editorial framework for an ongoing cadence.

You'll be a great addition to the team if you have:

  • Strong editorial instincts — the ability to read a list of shipped features and identify the two that actually change the story.
  • A builder's mentality — comfort standing up programs and processes that don't fully exist yet.
  • The ability to translate technical product capabilities into clear, compelling, human language.
  • An ownership orientation — you follow things through without waiting to be told what's next.
  • A genuine interest in working closely with engineers and PMs, not just other marketers.
  • Curiosity about AI — both as a product category and as a tool for doing your own work faster.

At a minimum, you need to have:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred).
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week summer program.
  • Ability to relocate to San Francisco and work from our HQ on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in-office per week).
  • Basic familiarity with digital analytics or the SaaS landscape.
  • A proven track record of managing multiple projects with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
