About the Role

Location:  Fort Wayne, Indiana 

You will work in our office 40 hours per week during the Summer of 2026.

Job Summary:

As a Juvare Summer Intern, you will collaborate with others to solve problems and work with some of the most advanced technologies for emergency management and preparedness.  Your efforts on the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of our software systems will have an impact on millions of people world-wide.  Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating relationships across technical intern peers, functional technical areas within Juvare, and other Juvare leaders in the organization
  • Developing your skills through 1-1 mentoring from a coach assigned to you over the Summer
  • Contributing to current technical projects or initiatives with guidance from your intern coach
  • Recommending new and innovative ways to solve current business and technical challenges
  • Attending professional development sessions with Juvare leaders to better understand how technical roles enable better business outcomes

Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:

  • Currently a Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study (MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related technical majors).
  • Strong working knowledge of at least one major programming language (Java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS or other comparable languages).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with an aptitude and eagerness to problem-solve.
  • A track-record of service and leadership through class projects, jobs or previous internships or extracurriculars.
  • A passion not only for technology and emerging technical trends, but also a passion for applying technological solutions to real-world issues.
  • Minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
