Role Overview:  At RAE Corporation, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a Lab Floater Intern who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience by assisting various departments within our laboratory facilities, contributing to a wide range of projects and tasks.  

 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Support Lab Operations: Assist with various laboratory tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors.  

2. Assist with Testing Procedures: Participate in testing procedures under the guidance of experienced technicians.  

3. Data Collection and Analysis: Collect data and assist with data analysis tasks to support ongoing projects.  

4. Lab Equipment Maintenance: Help maintain laboratory equipment and ensure cleanliness and organization in work areas.  

5. Documentation and Reporting: Assist with documentation and reporting tasks as required by ongoing projects.  

6. Collaboration with Team Members: Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project objectives and deadlines.  

7. Flexibility in Assignments: Be flexible and willing to assist with various tasks across different departments within the laboratory.   

8. Adherence to Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.  

 

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in a degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Sciences).  

- Strong willingness to learn and contribute to team projects.  

- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.  

- Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices is a plus.

Other Physical Requirements:  Sustained use of eyesight for functions such as visual inspection, reading, measuring and operating hand tools, along with the ability to see objects and detect motion at wide angles (peripheral vision) in order to maintain employee safety, ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection), exposure to toxic chemicals.
