The Role:

 

What will you do?

1. Project Planning & Coordination 

  • Support project managers in developing schedules, scope, and resource plans.
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering deliverables and specifications. 
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams (engineering, procurement, quality, vendors, site teams). 

2. Technical Engineering Execution 

  • Develop engineering drawings, calculations, BOMs, and technical documentation. 
  • Validate designs to meet standards, codes, and project requirements. 
  • Perform technical selections of equipment, systems, and solutions. 
  • Support FAT/SAT, system testing, and troubleshooting during execution. 

3. Project Implementation & Site Support 

  • Oversee installation, integration, and commissioning activities. 
  • Provide technical guidance to contractors and field teams. 
  • Resolve engineering issues that arise during construction or commissioning. 

4. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management 

  • Ensure deliverables comply with industry standards, safety guidelines, and QA processes. 
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation actions. 
  • Maintain engineering documentation and ensure proper version control. 

5. Stakeholder Communication 

  • Act as the technical point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal teams. 
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and project progress discussions. 
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation. 

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

 

Technical Skills 

  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (electrical, mechanical, or relevant field). 
  • Experience with design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks, or disciplinespecific tools). 
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (IEC, IEEE, local codes). 
  • Familiarity with project lifecycle from design to commissioning. 

Soft Skills 

  • Strong problemsolving and analytical thinking. 
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management. 
  • Attention to detail and documentation discipline. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, etc.). 
  • 2–5 years of relevant engineering or project execution experience (varies by level). 
  • PMP or similar certification (optional advantage).
