The Apparel Development Intern will support the Product Development team throughout the seasonal apparel development process, gaining hands‑on exposure to how garments move from concept through production readiness. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to learn the fundamentals of apparel construction, fit, costing, materials, and quality while working cross‑functionally with design, sourcing, and quality teams. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn how thoughtful product decisions impact performance, efficiency, and the overall business.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing apparel styles from initial concept through sample development.
  • Help prepare, update, and maintain tech packs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) documents.
  • Support the review of proto, fit, and SMS samples and record detailed comments and feedback.
  • Assist with wear testing by recruiting testers, managing samples, collecting feedback, and summarizing insights to support fit and performance improvements.
  • Gain exposure to factory partnerships and observe how product details, timelines, and technical comments are communicated throughout development.
  • Participate in fit sessions and learn how to evaluate garment fit, construction, and functionality.
  • Assist in documenting fit comments and tracking revisions through each development round.
  • Support the collection and organization of cost sheets and learn how margin targets are achieved.
  • Observe how material selection and construction choices impact product cost and efficiency.
  • Help review lab dips, strike‑offs, and trim submissions.
  • Track material and trim status, ensuring all components are organized and properly documented.
  • Learn brand quality standards and assist in checking samples for accuracy, workmanship, and performance.
  • Help prepare documentation and reports for Quality Assurance review.
  • Support seasonal calendar tracking to ensure development milestones and sample deadlines are current.
  • Follow up on sample arrivals and help maintain organized sample rooms or digital tracking logs.
  • Assist in maintaining libraries of tech packs, development references, and SOP documentation.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance organization, visibility, and efficiency across the team.


Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Development, Product Development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized and attentive to detail

  • High energy and a can-do attitude, with the ability to anticipate needs
  • Resourceful and Proactive

$18 - $18 an hour
The base salary range listed here represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance.  The range listed is just one component of NOBULL’s total compensation package for employees.  Other rewards may include annual discretionary bonuses.  In addition, NOBULL provides a variety of benefits to employees, including 100% employer paid health insurance coverage (medical, dental, and vision), Health Reimbursement Arrangement, Flexible and Health Spending Accounts, life and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, 12 paid holidays a year, an unlimited paid time off (PTO) policy (with PTO available for both vacation and sick time purposes), and parental leave benefits.
