About the Role

U.S. Compliance has an outstanding opportunity for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern seeking a diverse work environment assisting our clients in the construction, manufacturing and service industry with overall management of EH&S activities. The internship is scheduled for the summer of 2026. Specific start and end dates to be determined.

Position: EHS INTERN

The EHS Intern position will be a paid temporary position with an hourly wage of $25.

Responsibilities:
Specific duties may include EH&S program development and maintenance; assisting with EH&S training; participating in OSHA and EPA compliance audits; assisting with the development and implementation of corrective action plans; performing industrial hygiene surveys for chemical and physical hazards, and EH&S data management support. The intern will participate in the planning and implementation of projects where the ability to gather and organize data from multiple sources is essential.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have or be working toward a BS in an environmental health and/or safety/industrial hygiene discipline and general knowledge of OSHA general industry and construction regulations. The Intern must have a valid driver’s license.

Intern Characteristics:
To be considered, candidates must exhibit:

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively both solo and in a team environment;
  • Comfort in communicating with senior management;
  • Ability to gather, organize, and interpret complex data from multiple sources;
  • Ability to multitask with flexibility;
  • Ability to develop and implement basic EH&S programs and policies with oversight;
  • Detail-orientation and the ability to focus on the goal; and
  • Ability to meet the technical and political challenges that arise in a consultative situation.
Pay Range
$20$25 USD
