Job Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a 10-week immersive internship program from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.

This Intern will be involved in developing, implementing, and monitoring manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and tooling for solid rocket motors and energetic materials.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to industry standards in safety, quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives in a production environment, delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, reliability, cost, and throughput
  • Assist in implementation of continuous improvement programs and verify applicable programmatic specifications and standards are met.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders to support planning, budgeting, process, and technical reviews.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering; junior or senior standing by fall 2026
  • Strong interest in manufacturing engineering
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion

 Preferences:

  • Previous internship, coursework, or project experience

Hourly Pay Range: $23.50-$30.00 per hour

*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography
