About The Company
Inbank is a financial technology company with an EU banking licence that connects merchants, consumers and financial institutions on its next generation embedded finance platform. Partnering with 6,000+ merchants, Inbank has 872,000+ active contracts and collects deposits across Europe. Its bonds are listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Stock Exchange.
About the Role

Inbank is a financial technology company with an EU banking license that connects merchants, consumers, and financial institutions on its next-generation embedded finance platform. Our financing solutions are embedded seamlessly into the shopping journey of 6,000+ retailers. This helps our merchant partners grow their businesses, while end customers benefit from a frictionless shopping experience wherever they are. With a focus on innovation and growth, we are looking for talented people to join our team of 440+ working across our offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic.

We are looking for an Intern to join our Credit Risk Control team and work closely with Credit Risk Modellers on analytical challenges in the field of credit risk and predictive modelling.

In this role, you will gain insight into how the Bank’s second line of defence operates — including how credit risk models are implemented in the calculation engine to comply with IFRS 9 expected credit loss standards, and what daily activities are required to maintain and enhance the engine. Over the summer, you will contribute to key analytical projects, collaborate with various units across the bank, and have the opportunity to define your own focus areas through exploratory analytics.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse statistical models and identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the optimisation and automation of key model calculation processes.
  • Improve and maintain technical model documentation.
  • Participate in cross-team analytical projects.

Ideally, you have:

  • A proactive and curious mindset, with the willingness to tackle diverse credit risk analytics challenges.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and an interest in working with databases.
  • At least intermediate-level SQL skills (knowledge of R and data visualisation tools is a plus).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings clearly, both visually and verbally.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ongoing studies in Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Our offer to you:

  • An opportunity to learn from a diverse group of people who excel at what they do.
  • A paid internship from June to August.
  • A personal mentor — an experienced professional you can always reach out to.
  • Opportunities to expand your professional network and take part in events for our interns.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience, work on impactful initiatives, and grow professionally. Ready to kick-start your career? Apply now!
