About the Role

We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity that will allow you to develop your hands-on industry knowledge whilst partnering with our operational team. This role will be responsible for activities related to the service in our Housekeeping department, for minimum of 6 months.

 Key accountabilities

 

  • Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, quality and maintenance of the hotel’s guest rooms, stores, guest corridors, pantries, and back areas, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Implement the departmental regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to: House Rules and Regulations, Health and Safety, Emergency Response and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to uncompromising standards of excellence in room checks by leading the team with open communication, daily briefings, debriefings, and periodic implementation of cleaning tasks. Take control of linen quality, chemical stock, and general store supplies, their availability on floors and provide necessary feedback to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
  • Ensure completion of daily and monthly checklists, walkthroughs and routine preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with Engineering. Lead and supervise the completion of all maintenance projects in guest rooms and floors.
  • Manage daily task assignments for room attendants/porters and outline the arrivals, departures, in house guest lists with traces. Take ownership in ensuring all arrival rooms are ready in advance with guest preferences set up and all occupied rooms are serviced and checked on time. Must consult closely with the housekeeping coordinator to ensure house room status runs smoothly.
  • Manage the lost and found article submission to security in a periodic manner.
