ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team in Northville, MI. This internship provides hands-on exposure to core HR functions in a fast-paced, professional environment. The HR Intern will support the Human Resources team with day-to-day operations while gaining practical experience across multiple areas of Human Resources, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support planning, onboarding, and coordination activities for the summer intern program, including events, communications, and logistics.
  • Assist with recruiting and job requisition administration, including job postings, maintaining recruitment trackers, and supporting data accuracy and reporting.
  • Provide support for employee and contractor onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of documentation, coordination of materials, and scheduling support.
  • Assist with HR document management, including scanning, digitizing, organizing files, and supporting ongoing HR record maintenance and clean‑up efforts.
  • Gain exposure to HR systems and tools, including SuccessFactors, by assisting with basic reporting, position management, and data accuracy checks.
  • Support payroll‑related administrative activities under supervision, such as data validation, transaction tracking, and coordination with HR or payroll partners.
  • Assist with employee relations support activities, including preparing documentation, tracking cases, and observing employee relations and compliance processes as appropriate.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including audits, organizational chart updates, documentation of HR processes and workflows, and other operational support as needed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Preference for rising juniors or seniors who have completed relevant coursework and are seeking hands‑on HR experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with HRIS systems is a plus but not required.
  • Self‑motivated, eager to learn, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
