About the Role

MHIRJ (MHI RJ Aviation Group) is the fusion of two powerful legacies: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. As the Business Development Manager, Services Solutions, you are currently studying in both engineering (or an industry-related science field) and sales. You envision, recommend and sell new Aircraft modifications in order to increase our clients' output and profit. Your job, as a future Business Development Manager, is to negotiate aircraft modifications or products sales that would benefit our clients.

As a key customer facing sales team, you will oversee the definition of the strategy and execution of aircraft configuration changes in support of in-service aircraft. You will help develops modifications and ideas to support revenue growth for MHIRJ. The Business Development Managers, Services Solutions are the direct contact for the operators for their aircraft customization for their fleet in-service, covering a fleet of over 1,700 aircraft of the CRJ family.

You will join the Services Solutions team to support customer satisfaction throughout their in-service customization and promote MHIRJ’s revenue growth.

 

Your tasks will include:

  • Serve customers by identifying their needs and suggesting changes to products, equipment and services.
  • Identify current and future customer needs by building personal relationships with potential and actual customers and others who can understand the needs.
  • Provide technical information on products, services or equipment by responding to questions and requests.
  • Establish new customer accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing the sales call schedule.
  • Prepares cost estimates by studying all related customer documents and working with different functions such as engineering, materials logistics, methods and finance to ensure all cost impacts are considered
  • Lead the aircraft modification sales process and evaluate various costs and prices.
  • Obtain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the sales process by identifying short- and long-term issues that need to be resolved, recommending options and action plans and implementing guidelines.

The skills you bring:

 

  • You are currently completing a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering combined with a concentration in sales and marketing (or equivalent) or in business administration (or equivalent) with a good technical mastery at a recognized university.
  • You have completed at least 3 years of study in this program
  • You have very good business acumen and a good understanding of costs, prices and margins.
  • You are a team player able to work with varying departments.
  • You have a good level of written and spoken French and English
  • You have good organizational and planning skills
  • You have strong communication skills, both written and spoken
  • You have a good customer service experience
  • You have good judgment and work well in a multidisciplinary team
