About the Role

2026 PAID ODOT College Intern, Construction Engineering

What You Will Do: 

  • Construction Duties: Assist with inspections, training in procedures, and support on tasks like road resurfacing, safety upgrades, drainage, guardrails, surveying, concrete/soil testing, and more across various counties.
  • Engineering Design Support: Utilize CADD systems (Microstation) for updating and creating highway reconstruction plans, including drafting, mapping, and preparing final plan sheets.
  • Data & Record Management: Maintain accurate project records, organize materials, and compile information for report preparation and operational support.
  • Temporary Position: Gain hands-on experience in civil engineering through practical field and design tasks that complement academic studies and prepare for future employment.

To be eligible, you must be in good academic standing while pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management or other related Engineering field of study, also provide proof of Enrollment Documentation showing a minimum GPA of 2.00.
