Overview 

Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a highly motivated intern to help support the Solar Asset Management team.  The Asset Management team acts as the internal owner of the solar projects that CCR owns. This group plays a pivotal part in ensuring the long-term value and day-to-day performance of designated operating assets, and is at the intersection of operational, regulatory, financial, commercial, risk management, legal and investor matters in CCR’s Fleet. 

This intern will primarily be responsible for assisting with an external facing project involving more than 50 of CCR’s solar projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal and external resources to compile data necessary for reporting. 
  • Assemble reports utilizing the predeveloped template. 
  • Track submission of reports to review organization and handle follow ups as needed. 

Qualifications

  • A passion for renewable energy. 
  • Good organizational skills. 
  • Technical knowledge of PV solar equipment & electrical distribution systems preferred but not required. 
  • Educational background in renewable energy, engineering, and/or business operations preferred. 
  • Ability to work across functional teams.
  • Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables.

Experience Gained: 

  • Insights into utility scale solar asset management including compliance & oversight of resolving technical and vegetation/civil challenges 
  • Full working knowledge of a solar site 
  • Introduction to Solar Inverters  
  • Project Management Skills  

Locations: The preferred location for this role is Durham, NC.

Compensation: The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
