Overview 

Cypress Creek Renewables is seeking a talented and diligent intern to join its Fund Management team for the summer of 2026 to assist primarily in the research and analysis of historical fund performance. The primary scope of work for this role will include tracking down historical financial data across the company’s funds for analysis in the team’s tool to track long-term fund performance. The ideal candidate would be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in business, finance, economics, or engineering with a strong interest in a career in the renewable energy industry. 

This role will report to the Senior Fund Manager, but will work closely with other Fund Managers, Asset Managers, and Accountants. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain exposure to many different areas of the renewable energy industry. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Track down historical financial data from a variety of sources including closing models, accounting files, and legacy models across existing project financings in the CCR portfolio 
  • Analyze and appropriately format data for upload to Excel-based fund performance tracking model 
  • Enhancement of the fund performance tracking model to include additional analysis and metrics that will inform key decision-makers on fund health and portfolio optimization strategies 
  • Internship will culminate in a presentation of work completed to the Executive Team 

Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field with a strong interest in renewable energy 
  • High attention to detail and willingness to learn 
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis a plus 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel 

Locations: The location for this position is in Durham, NC. We are on a hybrid schedule 3/week.

Compensation: The hourly rate for our undergraduate internships is $25/hr. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
