Digital Communication Internship (Summer 2026)

 About the role

The ideal Digital Communication candidate will be on-site at our global corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas working 24-40 hours per week.  This internship will run from late May to mid-August, 2026.

This individual supports the development and execution of Internal and External communication strategies through digital and marketing activities across social media and internal communication channels. This role focuses on content creation,  digital asset coordination, and assisting in reporting and performance tracking. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys contributing ideas, storyboarding videos, and assisting with graphics and video creation/editing. This individual will work alongside the company’s internal communication team to grow our online presence and strengthen our brand as employer of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Storyboard, capture footage, and edit short-form videos highlighting employees, company’s innovation initiatives, and leadership presentations
  • Participate in setting up filming locations, lighting, camera equipment, and ensuring all technical aspects are optimized for shoots
  • Assist in creating engaging motion graphics and visual elements that enhance video projects and digital content for social media, internal communication, blogs, email, and other marketing platforms
  • Assist in creating social media content, including captions, static graphics, and short-form video drafts
  • Review and identify creative ways to repurpose existing content (blogs, emails, podcasts, webinars, and educational resources) into social media posts
  • Track digital marketing trends and competitor activity, flagging best practices for improvement
  • Create basic graphics and visual assets using Canva
  • Track engagement metrics and provide basic performance reports

Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing Media Production, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Proven experience with video production techniques such as filming, lighting setup, and camera operation
  • Strong skills in video editing (using Canva), post-production workflows, and motion graphics creation
  • Strong storytelling, written, and verbal skills
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn
  • Organized, proactive, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working in a professional, on-site environment

Compensation: $17-$20 per hour, depending on experience
