About the Role
You’ll spend 10–12 weeks at one of our operational sites, gaining hands‑on experience and learning from the people who keep our business running. You’ll work with graduates, technical specialists and fellow interns while building skills and connections that support your career. You’ll meet leaders across the business and gain early exposure to the scale of the resources sector, with many interns later joining our Graduate Program or returning for additional internships depending on their stage of study. 

Working arrangements differ across our assets, and opportunities can be FIFO roles or based locally near our mining operations, depending on the location. We encourage you to consider the opportunities and lifestyle each working arrangement offers when applying. 

This program is all about potential, and gaining real experience, exploring career pathways and discovering where you could grow next. 

 

What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for curious, motivated students who are adaptable, flexible and eager to learn. Strong communication skills, problem solving capability and the ability to work well in a team will set you up for success in this program. 
 
You’ll be a student in your second year through to your penultimate year, available to work with us over the 2026/27 summer break. 

Your degree could be from the following disciplines, and related fields: 

  • Engineering: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Civil, Geotechnical, Metallurgy / Minerals Processing, Chemical, Construction, Environmental, or Instrumentation, Control & Automation. 
    - Mining focussed students please apply via separate link - Mining Intern Program

  • Science: Hydrogeology, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Spatial Science (Surveying), or Geographical Information Systems. 
    - Geology students please apply via separate link - Geology Intern Program

  • Technology: Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Software Engineering, or Mathematics.

  • Business: Accounting, Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Commerce or Project Management.
