Business Unit/ Role Specific Info
The Partnership Business Analyst Intern will support the team in strengthening partnership strategy by conducting competitive analysis, gathering external market insights, and identifying opportunities to enhance the value and effectiveness of our partnership ecosystem.
This role is ideal for a data‑driven, curious, and analytical thinker who is passionate about the payments, financial services, or partnership space.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze external market information related to payment industry trends, partner performance & key strength, competitor activities, and cardmember behaviors.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking across industries and partner verticals to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Support in evaluating partnership performance metrics, identifying insights, and sharing recommendations.
- Assist in preparing business reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams (Partnerships, Marketing, Account Management, etc.) to support strategic analysis and partnership initiatives.
- Support ad‑hoc analytical or research projects relating to partnership strategy, customer value propositions, or market intelligence.
Skills and Qualifications
- Background in Business, Marketing, Economics, Data Analytics, or related disciplines preferred
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in data gathering, research, or competitive analysis
- Skills in using AI tools, Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SQL, Tableau, or analytics tools is a plus
- Strong interest in partnerships, financial institutions, or the credit card/payments industry
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Ability to work independently, challenge the status quo, and propose improvements
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Year 3 or Final Year students preferred
