Westchester Country Club also has two large banquet rooms, conference facilities, member apartments, and guest accommodations.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Restaurant Host & Operations Intern to support daily front-of-house operations while assisting management with administrative and organizational duties. This internship provides hands-on experience in hospitality management, restaurant operations, and team coordination.
The ideal candidate is professional, organized, creative, and eager to learn the inner workings of restaurant leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Restaurant Host & Operations Intern must complete all tasks and assignments as assigned by the management team, including but not limited to:
Front-of-House Host Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest experience
- Communicate guest needs effectively with servers and kitchen staff
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized host stand and entrance area
Management & Operational Support
- Assist in designing and updating restaurant menus (layout, formatting, and presentation)
- Help create and modify restaurant floor plans to improve efficiency and service flow
- Support the development of opening and closing duty checklists for line-level staff
- Assist with staff coordination and task assignments
- Observe and support daily operational procedures
- The above responsibilities encapsulate the Food & Beverage Attendant’s duties across all outlets. Specific tasks and assignments may vary based on work location.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organized and high attention to detail
- Creative mindset
- Interest in hospitality, business, or restaurant management
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft, Canva, or similar tools preferred)
- Must be able to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays and special events as needed
PAY RANGE
$20.00 hourly compensation
