Our professional staff includes: Fisheries biologists, Factory trained fountain specialists, and Licensed aquatic applicators. Our services include vegetation management plans, treatment programs, fountain/aeration system installation, fish population surveys and mapping.
About the Role

Description

Aquatic Control Inc. is a privately owned lake and pond management company headquartered in south central Indiana and with satellite offices in Valparaiso IN, Evansville IN, Truesdale MO, Memphis TN, Knoxville TN, Canton IL, Ankeny IA, Davenport IA, and Elizabethtown, KY. Our staff consists of biologists and technicians with a combined 500+ years of experience in aquatic vegetation, fisheries, and aquatic ecosystem management. Internships will be available this season at our Seymour, IN location. Internships can begin as early as April 1 and end as late as October 1.     

 

Lake and pond management internship duties may include the following:

  • assist with aquatic vegetation management activities 
  • aquatic weed and algae identification 
  • basic water quality analysis 
  • responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of equipment 
  • assist with fish and aquatic vegetation surveys 

 

Internship Compensation: 

College credit may be arranged through your university. Interns will be paid $14.25/hour plus 1.5 times for work over 40 hours.   

Requirements

Qualified applicants should have coursework and experience in the fields of fisheries management, aquatic biology, or a related environmental science. Preference will be given to applicants with basic mechanical ability, experience in outboard motor operation, and the ability to interact with customers effectively. All internships offered are outdoor, field based, and will require physical labor. Some overnight stays may be required. Interns will work an average of 45 hours per week.
