Job Description:
The intern will be assiting with arbovirus surveillance on Cape Cod. They will gain experience with different trapping methods and rearing techniques. Further instruction will be given on identifying mosquitoes to species.
Job Duties:
1. Assist in deployment of traps;
2. Learn to identify mosquitoes to species;
3. Rear mosquitoes collected for invasive species surveillance;
4. Prepare mosquitoes for resistance testing
This internship is unpaid and designed to support students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in the field. Interns may be eligible to earn academic credit through their college or university.
