Team Overview

Our Communications Team shapes ADF’s voice and impact, crafting powerful stories, engaging audiences, and amplifying our mission across platforms. We thrive on creativity, strategy, and collaboration to inform, inspire, and influence. The role of the Media Team is to ensure the cases, work, and mission of Alliance Defending Freedom are communicated effectively through interviews, print materials, and campaigns. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend media training sessions with attorneys and clients.
  • Assist in drafting media pitches.
  • Track media interviews; compile media reports.
  • Assist in creating Media Kits.
  • Assist in building Press Lists.
  • Research and flag relevant articles for pitching opportunities.
  • Summarize news of the day.
  • Monitor media inbox and the news cycle.
  • Assist with scheduling media meetings and interviews.
  • Assist with getting approval on press statements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current college student interested in journalism, media, or communications work.
  • Proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar academic field
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Constitutional Law and Media Relations
