About the Role

Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction engineering, project management, and fieldwork. The intern will assist in a variety of tasks related to the planning, execution, and documentation of construction projects, working closely with experienced engineers and project managers. 


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the inspection and monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Support engineers in preparing project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and schedules.
  • Perform data collection and analysis for various construction-related tasks, including quantity calculations and cost tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members to address project requirements and issues.
  • Observe and document work progress to identify any deviations or potential concerns.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, plans, and presentations.

Requirements

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of construction principles, techniques, and materials.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field assignments (if applicable).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and move around construction sites for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or coursework in construction engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of construction safety protocols and practices.
