About the Role

Giant Noise is a Texas-based integrated marketing and advertising agency combining PR, creative, and marketing strategy to create newsworthy stories for our clients through earned media, social media management, influencer partnerships, and brand storytelling.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and detail-oriented intern to join our Business Development Summer Internship. This paid internship offers hands-on experience, giving the intern meaningful exposure to real client work and a comprehensive understanding of business strategy in an agency environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities will vary based on the assigned department and may include: 

  • Assist in identifying and researching potential clients and markets. 
  • Support the development of proposals and presentations. 
  • Participate in strategy meetings and contribute ideas for business growth. 
  • Maintain and organize new business databases and materials. 
  • Gain exposure to agency growth strategy and proposal development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize. 
  • High proficiency in Google Suite and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. 
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks. 
  • Understanding of industry terminology and competitive landscape. 
  • Access to reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. 
  • Preferred candidates will be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field. 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Physical Demands: Sitting 85% of the time, standing 15% of the time.
  • Working Hours: Typically, work hours are from 9:00 AM CST to 6:00 PM CST, Mondays through Fridays. Availability to work as needed on nights and weekends may be required.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 20-50 lbs. as necessary.
  • Manual Dexterity: Regular use of hands and fingers for computer use.
  • Sensory Function: Everyday use of vision and auditory senses, including exposure to blue light from computers.
  • Environment: Work primarily indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. However, occasional travel and the ability to work in-office and on-site for client-related meetings and events may be necessary.
  • Communication: Daily communication with peers, media, and clients is essential to the role.
  • Cognitive Demands: Ability to maintain cognitive thinking and logical reasoning throughout tasks and responsibilities.
