About the Role

Job Description:

 

We are seeking a motivated and eager-to-learn Accounting Intern to join our team. As an Accounting Intern, you will support day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities while gaining hands-on experience in a corporate accounting environment. You will work closely with financial analysts and the accounting team to assist with affiliate financial reporting, quarterly close support, process documentation, and special projects. This role offers exposure to real-world accounting processes, regulatory reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts, providing a strong foundation for a career in accounting or finance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist with affiliate financial statement preparation, including report generation, uploads to PeopleSoft, and PDF distribution.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting activities by preparing schedules and organizing high-volume deliverables under analyst review.
  • Assist with SOX internal control compliance.
  • Help collect, track, and organize data for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting and other regulatory initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support affiliate reporting, management requests, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance team members on process improvements and automation opportunities.

Skillset:

 

  • Currently Junior or Senior standing pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Interest and desire to work on projects in a multinational team environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Self-motivation to complete assigned tasks and deliverables.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including communication (written and verbal), time management, problem-solving, organization, listening, asking questions, and taking notes.
