Role Overview

This internship provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sustainability data reporting, non‑financial disclosures, and compliance processes related to the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive).
The role supports GBS in data collection, validation, reporting activities, and submission workflows, working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Sustainability, Finance, HR, Operations, and other GBS teams.
The intern will contribute to the preparation of data packages, documentation, and quality checks required for regulatory and internal reporting cycles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the collection, consolidation, and validation of data required for CSRD reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing data templates, reports, dashboards, and submission files, following established GBS procedures.
  • Conduct basic data quality checks, flag inconsistencies, and follow up with data providers when information is missing or unclear.
  • Help maintain documentation, process notes, and audit‑ready evidence for CSRD data streams.
  • Participate in cross‑functional interactions with Sustainability, HR, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to gather information and support reporting activities.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to workflows, tools, or templates used for data submission.

Education & Experience

You are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Analytics, Sustainability Management, or a related field.

You have demonstrated interest in data analysis, sustainability reporting, non-financial disclosures, or regulatory frameworks through academic coursework, university projects, case studies, or research assignments.

Previous internship or work experience is a plus, particularly in analytics, sustainability, compliance, or reporting.


 

Functional & Technical Skills

Must Have

  • Basic understanding of data reporting processes, KPIs, and collection workflows.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including basic formulas, data organization, and presentation design.

Should Have

  • Familiarity with or interest in learning Sustainability Reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, ESRS).
  • Exposure to data validation, data quality checks, documentation, or reporting activities.
  • Interest in learning ERP systems, reporting dashboards, or data management tools.
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, processes, and reporting requirements.

Soft Skills & Behaviors

  • You work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with GBS colleagues and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally when collecting data, following up with contributors, or documenting reporting steps.
