2026 Finance Intern

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a 2026 Finance Intern!    

About the Internship:  

This is a full-time, paid internship taking place in summer 2026. The internship is 100% remote. The duration of the internship is 12 weeks, during which you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced members of our finance team, while focusing on different areas in finance. You will get hands-on experience and work-ready skills through working with several finance software applications and contributing to diverse tasks and projects. At Symetra, we seek to engage and empower every individual.  We value collaboration, diversity of thought and experience, sharing ideas, winning as a team, and always striving for excellence. 

Potential Responsibilities:  

• Preparation and tie-out of quarterly deliverables with the Financial Reporting and External Reporting Teams 

• Rollforward and preparation of upcoming year-end 2026 deliverables with the Financial Reporting and External Reporting Teams 

• Other ad hoc projects as they arise 

Requirements:   

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program pursuing degree.  

• Good organizational and communication skills. 

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.  

• Strong computer skills, especially Excel and Word. 

• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals across cultures, languages, and geography. 
• Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.

Compensation:

Hourly Range: $22.00-25.00

Work Authorization

Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.
