In the DreamWorks Internship Program, interns work in an engaging and exciting environment alongside creative leaders and artists who are committed to building an inclusive and collaborative culture. Interns are immersed into TV and Feature animated productions while gaining hands-on experience at our studio. The DreamWorks Custom Animation team seeks an Intern to aid in helping to produce content across all business units of the studio! Custom Animation is a small team producing premium content for DreamWorks films and television shows while ensuring the integrity of our brand and characters is consistent across numerous platforms and outlets. They work with internal production crews and Universal business units in addition to third party vendors.

Job Description
Summer 2026 Custom Animation Internship:
Applications close: March 16, 2026 at 11:59pm PT
Program Dates: June 8 - August 14, 2026
Time Commitment: Full-Time (40 hours per week required)
Format: In Person
Responsibilities: “What would you say you do here?”
Attend dailies and reviews, take notes in meetings, scheduling, etc.
Track asset delivery and confirmations
File storyboards, animatics and early development content
Monitor and maintaining clearance logs
Assist with layout and design of documents for reviews and submissions
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: “What do I need to have in order to do this job?”
Knowledge of office management software (Excel, Word, Gmail, etc.)
Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or be a recent graduate (within six months of graduation date) studying Film/Cinema, Marketing, Communications, Media Studies or similar
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be willing to work in Glendale, California
Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Desired Qualifications: “What can I offer?”
Experience working at an animation, graphics or game studio
Technical knowledge in software such as Maya, Nuke, etc. is preferred
Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation

Hourly Rate: $17.87
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
