Position Summary

The Vendor Relations Intern will support the Vendor Relations and Operations team through documentation updates, process improvement initiatives, and operational reporting analysis. This role blends structured documentation work with data organization and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Vendor & Operations Projects

  • Assist in updating and standardizing Direct Ship Vendor Manuals across multiple brands

  • Support creation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Document new operational processes and improve existing workflows

  • Assist with weekly Customer Service Index (CSI) reporting and category-level data organization

  • Support preparation of reporting materials for Operations meetings

Core Internship Responsibilities (All Interns)

  • Support department initiatives through research, documentation, and project coordination

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the 1-800-Flowers family of brands

  • Attend team meetings and present progress updates

  • Participate in internship learning sessions, networking opportunities, and workshops

  • Contribute ideas to improve business processes and enhance customer experience

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Analytics, Communications, or related field

  • Strong writing and documentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

The expected hourly rate for this position is $19.00. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by the law.
