Job Overview:

Tactacam is seeking a Product Development Intern to support day-to-day product operations, hardware logistics, and feedback coordination. In this role, you will help keep product development moving by organizing hardware inventory, preparing shipments, tracking devices, and maintaining structured documentation across the team.

This is a highly dynamic position suited for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. You will gain hands-on exposure to real-world hardware operations and product workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, label, package, and ship cameras to testers, customers, and partners.
  • Track hardware inventory, serial numbers, and shipment status.
  • Maintain an organized physical inventory and workspace.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing new hardware shipments.
  • Collect and organize customer and tester feedback.
  • Track product issues and feature requests in internal systems.
  • Follow up on open items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, and documentation repositories.
  • Take meeting notes and document action items.
  • Help prepare materials for internal product reviews and updates.
  • Organize shared drives and improve documentation systems.
  • Assist with general operational tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documentation tools.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works well with minimal supervision.
  • Interest in hardware products or product development.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Sheets, Jira, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Prior internship or project experience in product, operations, or engineering preferred.

 

This position is based on-site in Billings, MT. We welcome applications from students who are interested in starting part-time until the conclusion of the spring semester. Following that, the role will transition to a full-time position, continuing through the end of the summer.
