The Role

  • Assistin the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs, policies, and procedures
  • Help collect data for daily, weekly, monthly and YTD metrics to report to EHS leaders onsite
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
  • Participate in workplace safety inspections, job hazard analyses, and risk assessments
  • Help maintain required EHS documentation, permits, and regulatory records
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities such as waste management, air and water program support, and sustainability initiatives
  • Support the development and delivery of employee EHS training and communications
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean initiatives related to safety and environmental performance
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams on EHS-related projects
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, in support of the corporate and business unit’s EHS strategic plan

Schedule: 

  • Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (flexible)
  • Summer Internship

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, ideally with a focus in Environmental Health and/or Safety or related field
  • Alternative majors considered: Manufacturing/Engineering, Public Health, Fire Science, Sustainability or Risk Management & Insurance
  • Strong interest in workplace safety and environmental stewardship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and sound judgment in problem-solving situations
  • Professional and positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office®, particularly Excel
